Date Night!

I had a wonderful date tonight with my sweet Wyatt! We went to see How to Train your Dragon and had a blast! When we got to the theater Wyatt was a litter overwhelmed with all the people and the line up was a little long waiting to get our tickets and food, but I wasn't worried about a long line. I was hoping to get into the movie late to miss the previews (which are often more scary than the movie you are going to see). Well my plan didn't work out and the previews were playing when we found our seats. I don't even know what the preview was for, but it was a real life movie and Wyatt was SCARED! I calmly talked Wyatt through the preview all the while thinking to myself, "crap, what was i thinking taking him to this movie?!" After the bad preview was a preview for the new Shrek movie so that helped calm him down. Once the movie started Wyatt didn't know if he wanted to laugh or bury his head, but quickly found the movie funny and was even brave enough to sit on his own chair. Every time the dragons were missing from a scene Wyatt used his outside voice to say, "Where da daygon go? dey come back Moma?"
All in all we had a fantastic date, but my favorite moment was when Wyatt turned to me and whispered in my ear, "I la you SO much Moma!" talk about melting my heart!

smarter than you think...

I think Wolfgang hates the time from when he wakes up from nap until Wyatt wakes up.  He usually wonders around the basement calling out for "Wa. Wa."  He loves his brother and misses him dearly which is just adorable!
Well today Wolfgang wanted to nurse when he got up (normal) and then kept yelling at me even after he finished nursing (not normal).  I asked him "whats your problem?  Do you want a snack?"  He responded: "Ya" and kept nodding his head YES.  I asked, "Where are the snacks? Show Mama what you want" and he turned and walked to the cold storage and knocked on the door.  we found a suitable snack and he then happily walked to his camp chair, snack in hand.

I just can't get over how much a 13 month old understands.  I think that since little ones don't communicate with clear words they are vastly underestimated!

Eggs...

The boys each got a boiled egg in a gift basket and Wyatt was determined he would eat his at breakfast this morning.  After lots of back and forth he told me he likes eggs and he would eat it.  So I let him peal it with Nanny Susies help.  Well in the middle of taking the shell off some of the egg white also came off revealing the egg yoke Wyatt sighed loudly and said "Awe! there is no chocolate it in!"
hahahahah! Yep my kids think eggs are chocolate!

Trouble with glo-sticks

We had a great Easter and the kids and we got WAY too much chocolate!  I don't think that they boys should eat all the junk they got so I will be a good mom and help them eat up those goodies - especially the mini eggs!  In one of the bags of loot the boys got were some glo-sticks.  We've played with them lots of times before and Wyatt thinks that glo-sticks make great monster chasers.  Anyway... we sent Wyatt to bed with one.  I don't know WHAT we were thinking, but at the time it seemed like a good idea.  About 30 minutes after we got the boys in bed we heard Wyatt crying.  I ran up the stairs because it was a hurt cry.  By the time I got up the stairs the crying had turned into screams of agony.  As soon as I opened the door I could see glo-stick goop in his bed.  I grabbed him and ran for the bathroom to see WHERE the goop got.  his eye was blood shot and he kept screaming "my eye Mom-Ma! My EYE!!!"  I jumped in the bath and yelled at Marc to get me a cup of water.  Flushing the eye with water was quite a feat and I was soaked after 1 rinse.  Wyatt immediately told us "It feeling MUCH better, I go back my crib now".  I rinsed it twice more which was greeted with lots more screaming from Wyatt and then snuggled him on Mommy and Daddy's bed.  Once he was settled back down I went to put him back to bed and he started crying all over again.  Worried that his eye was still burning I asked what was wrong... his response "Where's my [glo] stick?  Awe! Daddy put it in the garbage" !
